Because I quite enjoy doing them and find them useful to look back on. So, here is Wednesday.
Waking up at 7.30am (me and Fliss) or 8.30am (Leni) we began the day with a cuppa, breakfast and a couple of episodes of Nina and the Neurones.
Leni and Fliss want to play out at the front of the house, I feel daft standing around so suggest a walk to the 'little woods' at the end of the road (literally).
We spend a very enjoyable hour in the giant puddles and watching squirrels and talking about oak trees then when the rain starts getting heavy we return and have hot chocolate.

Leni decides to do some puzzles, Fliss plays with Mama Duck and her eggs (a rubber duck, some beads for eggs and a box for a nest).

They watch some of the Cbeebies channel while I prepare tonight's dinner and they eat melon and dress in their swimming costumes for a bath when the bread is cooked. I flit in and out of the living room and investigate pinterest!
They decide to have lunch while waiting for the bread - leek and potato soup.
Bath!
Then the afternoon slump hits me, so I lounge on the sofa for an hour or two while Leni and
Fliss eat the rest of the melon, have a stuffed animal tea party and watch animal birth videos
and some more Cbeebies.
Having hauled myself off the sofa (it takes a while and is accompanied by much huffing) we make toilet roll owls. When they get into painting, I wash the dishes (this is noteworthy as I NEVER wash dishes).

Another bath I think...

Then we watch 'Happy Feet' and after that dinner. Pumpkin and squash stew with pumpkin bread. Leni declares it to be the 'best stew ever', I pile mine with chilli flakes and salt (craving of the moment!).

Evening...not a lot. Having dropped her nap, Fliss is tired and grumpy in the evenings so we stick to relaxing, some books, some TV. Then my Mum comes round at 7pm to take me (and Fliss) to home birth group. I get back in at 10.30, Leni has just gone to sleep.
