In the 'impromptu crafts' section, Chris took Len and Fliss shopping at the weekend and picked up some paint your own flexible lizard kits that they thought looked good. While painting them, Len decided that they are Marine Iguanas (watch the Octonauts episode, they are a very cool animal. Sneezing out salt, what could be funnier when you are 5!?) and that they needed a beach.
One Abel and Cole box lid, papier mache rocks, felt water and wheat bran (which makes
surprisingly realistic sand) later...

On Tuesday we had some HEing friends come round to play, which was the usual mix of Len and Fliss wanting to cuddle the baby more than she wanted to be cuddled, lots of play with cars and the town rug too.
A not doing much sort of day on Wednesday. Leni has been enjoying watching 'Handy Manny' a lot lately and now keeps her philips head and flat head screwdriver in a gold hand bag so she can fix things wherever she happens to be. Love her, she is so much fun.
On Thursday we ran up to the shops to stock up on snacks for our weekend away (and 144 antacid tablets for me...the joy!) and spent most of the afternoon playing board games. Well, Leni and I play them, Fliss runs joyfully through the middle shouting!
Friday, began with bubble painting. Moved to general playing with straws and blowing water, then packing and organising for the weekend and DIY!
