On plans, breaking them and the places it takes you.

As Chris had booked time off this week we decided to do a not-far-away, one night camping trip to try out the bell tent. Leni had other plans.

As we were about to leave, she suddenly said 'I don't want to go'. We were bemused at first, asked why and she couldn't really answer. There were some tantrums (adult and child). Plan changing is one of the things that trigger my anxiety so I didn't react well. I calmed down quickly though and we spent yesterday around the house, enjoying the slower rhythm that Leni needed. Today though she woke up all systems go and we went swimming, out for lunch, to the swings and library, then to spend the vouchers Chris got as a bonus from work on art materials for the girls.

We have had a lovely day today. I wanted to remember it for the next time Leni declares a change of plan!

(and in all of the illness last week, Leni has changed her mind about weaning!)

Hello,
I am hosting a "day in the life of a home educator" carnival next week on my blog; it would be lovely if you would consider joining in :)
