A gorgeous sunny day, so a trip to Acorn Venture Urban Farm. It was started the year I was born (I'm 27 now!) and built up from what was a builder's dump to an amazing community venture that employs a high proportion of people who have special needs. Brilliant place!
They serve quite a lot of food they have produced in their cafe, including goat's milk ice cream that was a big hit with all of us!
We all enjoyed feeding this very friendly goat called Dora, Leni now wants goats!
Perfect day out for me really, outdoors, chance to cuddle sheep and natter about chickens.Then home and our new friends who live opposite came outside to play, chalks, bubble blowing and they came in to meet our chickens. My sister popped round to bring me Michel Roux's Egg book, great present!

Happy belated birthday! The boys fancy the idea of goats, Ethan even said he'd have an angorra goat so I could spin the fleece!

I am enjoying reading your blog, and then I got to this post. Though judging by the time of the post it may be that your birthday is actually March 24, it's sort of surreal as my birthday is March 25th.
Anyways. Ramble, ramble. I haven't really blogged a lot, and haven't at all for a long time, but am wanting to begin again and am thinking of a new name.
