Another day

One of the reasons I started blogging was to have a Home Education record that was easy to access and showed more than how many times Leni has written her name lately. Still, blogging isn't perfect for recording and can't show the conversation we had about airbrushing in adverts, all of the time Leni is spending working out what letter the thing she is asking for begins with.

Having explained why I do these 'what we did today' posts, here goes.

Leni's 1/16 size violin arrived first thing! Of course, I had to get mine out too so we could play together. Leni seems to really be enjoying her forays into making music herself.

We also spent a lot of time chatting to the chickens, Fliss loves that she fits into the run easily. They are relaxing more around us now, Rose is crouching to let us pick her up and Hickety is happy to stand still and be stroked.
We are all really enjoying making domino runs at the moment, it is one of those great activities that works well on toddler, child and adult levels. We need more of these in our lives!

For her birthday, a friend bought Fliss a lovely gardening set, here Leni is watering the jerusalem artichokes and Fliss is digging for worms to give to the chickens.
Well, apparenty chickens enjoy music as much a humans do! I just love the look on Leni's face here, she is clearly really really enjoying playing!

I love to hear about your days, about the beauty in the ordinary, and what a like minded mama and her little ones get up to. :) x
