Blissful long weekend.

We returned today from four days at the commune a friend has not long moved to, a group of us travelled together, ate, slept and played together in the sun. Bliss. With very swanky compost toilets that puts ours at the allotment to shame!The girls and I arrived late on Thursday (nothing to do with my navigating, my friend put an extra '3' in the directions that sent us down the wrong A road!), threw up the yurt and collapsed!
On Friday we chatted, cooked together, let the children run free and laughed a lot. Papa arrived in the evening and out came the wine!
Saturday was spent at the lake. The pictures don't do it justice it is just so beautiful. It is glacial and very deep, clear and deliciously cool on such a hot day. We lit a fire, the kids toasted gooseberries (which was scrumptious), biscuits (which didn't work) and put potatoes in the ashes.
Wild swimming...how I long to be near enough to a lake to do this more often!
We made it back to the van today just before the rain hit!
